The Applecreek mountain dulcimer is a quality entry level lap dulcimer. Its teardrop shape and smaller size make it an excellent beginner or travel instrument.
Also called lap dulcimers, these instruments are a wonderful instrument for those wanting an easy-to-play stringed instrument. Often associated with Appalachian music, mountain dulcimers are played by laying the instrument across the lap and strumming the four strings with either a pick or your fingers. Great for playing either melodies or accompaniment arrangements.
