The Door County Thumb Piano features our logo of Door County, complete with shining sun and crashing waves, laser-engraved onto the mahogany wood body.
Door County, where we are located, is a popular tourist destination on the "Death's Door" peninsula of Wisconsin, named for the many historical shipwrecks that surround this maritime destination.
Originating from Africa, the kalimba is also known as the thumb piano, thumbdrum, or sansa. Our kalimbas are well-made and pre-tuned. Easy to play; the metal keys are numbered and the included songbook writes out all the songs in a play-by-number method.
