This Snake Charmer Pipe is also known as a Beap or Pungi. This traditional, flute-like instrument is made from a hollow gourd and two cane chanters. Its buzzy, penetrating sound is produced by reeds for each of the pipes that are housed inside the gourd.
One chanter has finger holes. The second acts like a drone. Both chanters are fitted with cane reeds and attached to the gourd resonator by wax.
