The Gopichand, also known as the Ektara, is a one-stringed musical instrument used in the traditional music of South Asia, and used in modern-day music of Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.
This single-stringed instrument provides a surprising range of sounds by plucking the string and then applying pressure to the side struts.
This is an instrument with a rich history, a fun addition to an instrument lover’s collection, and a unique sound for the experimentalist.
