Bamboo Devil Chaser

Robin Jay Music & Gifts

The exotic buzzing sound of the devil chaser was used to ward off evil in early cultures.

It is played by bouncing it off of a palm, and a wah-wah effect can be added by covering and uncovering the tone hole with your thumb. (Interestingly, we once had a sound producer purchase a couple of these to replicate the sound of insects in a tropical rainforest!)

Carved from bamboo, the devil chaser common to Southern Asia, India and the Philippines.

Sizes vary from 18" to 25". Sold individually.
